Fr. Joe Hennen was ordained in 1967 in the Order of the Holy Cross (Crosiers). During his 42 years as a priest he served as counselor for the seminarians, Prior-Rector of the Theology School for the Crosiers, and as Pastor of St Stephen’s parish in suburban St. Paul, Minnesota. For the past 26 years he has worked with adolescent substance abusing teenagers in New York and New Jersey.
Educationally, Fr. Joe Hennen has a Masters Degree in Theology, is a Licensed School Psychologist, a Licensed Alcohol/Drug Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Born in rural Minnesota, Fr. Hennen is 67 years old. He has provided priest assistance on holidays and special times at St. Theresa’s parish in Kehei, HI. over the past six years. He was accepted for the process of Incardination into the Diocese of Honolulu by Bishop Larry Silva in 2006.
