Our Saint Damien Statue Blessed on May 10, 2010, the first feast day of Saint Damien DeVeuster of Moloka'i. Donated by:Vivian Araujo and the members of the Filipino Catholic Club of St. Joseph Church.
These statues in St. Joseph Church depict Saints Joachim and Anne with the child Mary. St. Joachim (father of Mary) holds a basket of doves and a staff. St. Anne is pointing to scripture on the scroll that Mary is holding.
Their feast day is July 26. As St. Joachim and St. Anne are the grandparents of Jesus, this day has traditionally been a day to honor one's grandparents.
